Squash at BCC
Squash re-opens on Monday the 12th April.
The return must follow the latest guidelines, which will be displayed at the entrances to the squash courts. Unfortunately, we are down to just 1 court at the moment due to some floor issues with Court 1.
You must book your courts in advance and register your full name on the booking sheet. Please use the NHS QR Code Poster to register your attendance. These will be placed at each entrance to the club courts.
The following is allowed under the return to Squash:
* Solo practice or one-to-one coaching for adults.
* Same household play including support bubble (as defined by the Government).
* Out-of-school setting (OOSS) activity.
* School, college or university groups engaged in curriculum-based, coach-led/supervised activity, children who are participating in coach-led/supervised/OOSS activity or players with disabilities.
A polite reminder for all squash members to please renew membership before playing!
Blackpool Cricket Club has 2 squash courts which can be used for Squash or Racketball.
Annual Membership for Adults is £50 for 2020/21. Combined Squash and Cricket membership for Under 18's is £15 per year. For 18 to 21 years it is £35.
Squash Court Hours
(Full Squash Members) Mon - Fri 5pm - 9pm
Off-Peak Times: Mon - Sun all other times
Existing BCC Cricket Players (Juniors and Seniors) are able to use the squash courts in off-peak time. Juniors at all times must be accompanied by an adult. There are no changing or shower facilities for non-squash members. Court shoes MUST be worn at all times to prevent any damage or marking of the floors.
Tokens must be purchased from the Bar during opening times.
Court Fees at Present are £4 for 40 minute session paid via 2 tokens purchased from the bar. Courts can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance on the booking sheets provided on the balcony above the squash courts.
Competitive squash is provided through the North West Counties Squash League (the largest Squash League in the world!) in which we have four teams in divisions 2-5. The league runs from Mid-September to April and matches are played on a Thursday evening from 7pm onwards.
New members are encouraged and a club "ladder system" allows for new members to challenge for team places. Supporters/Spectators are always very welcome on Thursday evenings to cheer the team on.
Results and Fixtures for all BCC teams are available here
