Club Temporary Closure

Blackpool Cricket Club is temporarily closed. This follows the government’s announcement due to the increasing spread of COVID-19 throughout the UK. We fully support this measure to help prevent the spread of the invisible coronavirus. As well as the clubhouse being closed ALL TRAINING & RECREATIONAL USE within the ground is forbidden until further notice. This action is taken to support social distancing and to prevent further contamination between people both young and old.

Blackpool Cricket Club hope our members, their families, friends and our loyal staff stay virus free by staying at home and looking after one another. We ask our younger members to consider the higher risks of older people and also the loneliness that isolation may bring them. If you know someone who would welcome a gesture of kindness please keep in touch with a phone call, a note through the letterbox or even a shout-out on their facebook page!

The club sincerely thank the fantastic support of the transport, food and other important services who are working to help us all in these extraordinary times. We know we speak on behalf of all our members - we are all indebted to the dedication, bravery and professionalism of our emergency services, the care workers and of course our marvelous NHS.

Good health everyone, take care and looking forward to welcoming you back to the club.

The Officers, Executive Committee and all the team at Blackpool Cricket Club Functions & Bookings:

All functions are cancelled during this closure and no new bookings can be made at this time. Please contact us via our Contact form and we will respond a.s.a.p. Thank you.

On a more positive note... Even though the club is closed, we are still working hard behind the scenes to refurbish and improve facilities, continuing with the infrastructure to host the major concert weekend in September and working on the outfield to prepare for any cricket that may return this season.

A small ask from you...

As you can imagine, the club cash-flow has been severely hit and whilst we are in a stronger position than most other cricket clubs, we do need to attempt to keep a modicum of funds coming through. With this in mind we would be truly grateful to receive your renewal subscriptions for the 2020/21 membership year (due 1st April) to help your club at this challenging time. You can renew this online at:

Upon receipt of your online renewal, we will post out your new 2020/21 Membership Card.

Thank you for your support and again take care.
