Outdoor Training
Outdoor training will begin at the
Stanley Park main ground every Tuesday and Thursday from 7th
April.
We advise players arrive at 6:00pm for an
early start to make the most of the light.
We have well structured sessions every
week with a thorough warm up and fitness session to begin with focusing on
cricket specific activities and injury prevention run by our qualified
Sports Scientist, Fitness Instructor and Training Strength and
Conditioning Coach.
This includes Speed, Agility &
Quickness drills (SAQ), Co-ordination, balance and multi directional
speed, General and specific fitness as well as injury prevention through
planned and progressive core stabilization activities.
We then move into the nets that are
usually separated by ability or teams usually with at least 1 grass wicket
and sometimes 2 depending on availability as well as fielding practice on
the outfield to replicate match conditions as closely as possible. We also
have a three lane artificial netting area for when the weather prevents
grass wickets.
We also use Video Analysis to assess
performers technique with access to Dartfish sports analysis software as
well as using Statistical notational from our analyst Ed Mahon.
Sessions costs are covered in the
membership however if you are interested in joining the club please feel
free to come along and join in one of our sessions.
