Ladies Cricket at Blackpool Cricket Club

Following BCC's 2016 initiative to attract ladies into cricket the success has been amazing!

Thanks must go to Sam Owen, Jane Boyne, Karen Baines and all the coaches who made this dream into reality.

BCC is a very progressive cricket club. It is keen to reach out to the community to promote not just cricket but a fun and social activity bringing together both junior and senior girls who wish to partake in a healthy and active activity.

The weekly training sessions take place every Wednesday evening (6pm - 8pm) at the clubs Stanley Park ground (subject to weather).  Over 30 attend on a regular basis and following the success of recent "friendly" fun cricket games with other similarly-minded cricket clubs, the popularity of the Ladies Game has grown rapidly.

The future looks positive!

We are looking forward going into our second season. Ladies and girls cricket is still growing at BCC and this year we have four teams going into the league with the start of a new softball league. The fixtures for the games are listed on the club website.

Please make a note in your diary - the home game against St Annes CC on Sunday 5th Augustis our annual charity game in memory of Gordon Chubb. All proceeds from this day are going to the Motor Neuron Disease Charity. For more information please pop along one Wednesday evening  and speak to our Ladies Cricket Manager, Jane Boyne.

See you soon!
